About the 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD continues with its familiar powertrains, but expands towing power and updates the trim levels for 2026. The max tow rating for the Silverado 2500 is now 22,500 pounds with the Duramax Turbo-Diesel and 5th wheel/gooseneck setup.* Chevy's trailering tech is now available across more trim levels.
Technology Highlights
Every Silverado 2500 comes with an infotainment touchscreen. The Advanced Trailering System allows trailer brake, tire pressure, and tongue-weight monitoring via the screen. Safety tech includes blind spot monitoring, parking sensors, and camera systems. Different trailer profiles can also be stored in the infotainment system.
